Anonymous asked: I've been searching all over for the best bloody mary in the 860 area. Do you have any suggestions?
YES. Suzanne can definitely be credited to reviving my love for bloody mary’s, but I can’t be trekking to Westhampton everytime I get a craving.
I would say, surprisingly, that Plan B has the best bloody mary’s. I like them chunky and spicy (sounds like ew, but really, the spices and the horseradish make it!) and Plan B’s are all the above. There is nothing worse then a place that uses straight up Bloody Mary mix (drink ketchup much?).
I would say that Wood ‘n Tap is my runner up. They’re good, but they vary depending on the bartender. Definitely not as “hand-crafted” as Plan B’s, and I had to ask for olives (!!).
Another trick I learned from Suzanne & The Initials- ask for Absolut Pepar.
Both of these restaurants have multiple 860 locations- and Wood ‘n Tap in Hartford serves brunch! Enjoy!
