jewelry giveaway numero uno.  unfortunately, this is for tumblr users only.  the next two giveaways will incorporate everybody but i felt the need to call out to my tumbling followers and friends.  so the whole point of this blog is to style historical and literary (sometimes musical) personalities.  as such, re-blog this post and add one of the below…do be sure that it is obvious how to e-mail you should you be the winner (include in re-blog or make sure it is clearly visible on your tumblr)1: who in history or literature you could see wearing this and brief brief reasoning behind it2: how you would wear this piece.i want to make sure that wherever this ends up it will be used properly, needs to have a good home.  also, some questions have been raised about the necklace.  rest assured it is indeed a kate spade new york necklace and is brand new, never used and has a logo stamp on the clasp.  it is also one of kind, not another one like it in the whole wide world, aren’t you lucky?  good luck!
giveaway ends 12/20/09!

Cleopatra, darling! She snagged it on a recent jaunt through the Mediterranean with her boy Julius Caesar. Yes, it’s true- she may have had bad taste in men (**cough cough** her brothers! **cough cough**) but the girl had a jewelry collection to die for. Maybe that’s what put her over the edge… or that bum Marc Anthony, whatever.
All this little number needs is a chic white bikini and some killer shades. Add some bangles if you’re feeling sassy. (Tan lines don’t matter when you’re channeling your inner Cleopatra). Top it off with a Hermès scarf to protect your tresses, and sashay your way to the Hamptons.
