And finally, last but not least, I am thankful for my employer for following a 1st & 15th pay schedule. Because of this schedule, I do not get paid until Monday, thus preventing any participation in this year’s Black Friday. Unfortunate for my gift-recipients-to-be, since last year I killed it at the outlet malls from 12:30 - 3:30 am (then went to breakfast, natch), but REALLY fortunate for my sanity (and wallet).
I’m not SO sad, however, because shoppers in this hood are straight up insane. As of 9:30 pm, there were 30+ people in line at Best Buy (sale starts at 5:00 am) and security (and valet parking) were already in place at West Farms Mall. People be CRAZY.
