Help Save One is a non-profit rescue based in Rhode Island that pulls dogs from gassing shelters down South. They don’t have a physical shelter, but rather run a system of awesome foster homes to make sure the dogs are well cared for and socialized. My old roommate was a foster for Help Save One, so I can say from first-hand experience that this is one of the most dedicated, kind hearted rescues I’ve ever come across.
For the first time ever, they are full. They have run out of time, resources, and foster homes. They can’t pull even one more dog until one of the precious pups they’ve already pulled gets adopted. They are doing their best to continue to post dogs that are about to go down, so hopefully they get adopted directly, but they can’t rescue any more. They run weekly transports and will get your new little angel fully vetted before they send him or her your way.
