The event was hosted by Dr. Christopher Manning and Mr. Chuck Riott in their insanelyridiculouslystunningly GORGEOUS home in Hartford’s West End. It was supposed to be a garden party, but the torrential downpour sort of put an errr… hiatus on the garden part of the party. A giant tent was erected and the party jammed on.
Our feet, however, didn’t fare so prettily. We were up to our ankles in mud by the end of the night. Meg from the Cancer Society, who did a remarkable job putting the event together, gave up and went barefoot. Good thing I wore my cheap Nine West kicks! I rinsed those babies in the shower when I got home and they shined like new :)
