Magical Places in the US

Nejustthewayitis:

nyminute:

lovepuppy:

  • Vermont for Cheddar
  • New Hampshire for Real Maple Syrup (AH! VERMONT has way better Maple Syrup!)
  • Michigan Blueberries (No Way! MAINE blueberries are teeny but twice as sweet.)
  • Indiana Sweet Corn
  • Avacados and Dates from California
  • Hawaiian Pineapple
these are the top things I can thinks of that I have eaten and loved. Add Plz.

San Francisco for Sourdough bread.
Seattle for coffee.
New Jersey for corn.
Martha’s Vineyard for clam chowder.

Texas for Mexican food.

My edits in bold, my additions below.

Alaskan Salmon

Texas for burgers

Boston for Italian food

California for wine (yes, I know it’s a duh, but still, CA reps us in the international wine world)

I know I live in Connecticut but I can’t think of even one thing we’re known for. Boo. Other CT rezzies, suggestions?

UPDATE: loyal reader (aka my bf) commented with the following excellent additions

Umm, New Haven Pizza, hello?

Also Apple Orchards are awesome in CT.

Boston-baked beans

New England Clam Bakes

Northern New England-maple sugar

Also, the Library of Congress web site states that the first hamburgers and steak sandwiches in U.S. history were served in New Haven. Louis’ Lunch! get wit it!

Editors note: this boy knows his home state and has some serious CT pride!
